Critical Incident Debrief Training

Critical Incident Debrief Training
ACT 502

Responding to a critical incident and following up with a debrief are some of the most important things we can do to support those who serve us. These critical incidents can be an Officer Involved Shooting (OIS), an on the duty injury or death, tragic deaths, suicides, or any number of traumatic events.

We continue to provide critical incident debriefs for agencies across the country. If you have an incident at your agency, please let us know and we would love to support you in any way we can. Don't go into a debrief without training. This can cause further trauma for those involved and hurt your relationship with your agency leaders and other mental health professionals.

Critical Incident Debrief training serves to prepare you to enter into these crucial moments prepared with how to navigate through difficult circumstances and provide you with resources including:

  • What to do prior to an incident occurring

  • The steps of a critical incident response

    ·      Debrief Planning

    ·      The Debrief

    ·      Follow Up

  • Care for yourself after a debrief
