Chaplain Word of the Day by Kent Higgins
Lone Tree Chaplain, Kent Higgins, has been working on a project he calls the “Word of the Day.” Chaplain Higgins put together a small handout that he can provide to officers or leave them available at the Chaplain Desk for officers and staff to pick up. The staff and officers have been very receptive.
The Word of the Day is a simple way to get God’s Word in the hands of many in a non-intimidating way.
Here is an example:
CONFIDENCE - The feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something; a firm trust.
• Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. Hebrews 10:35
• you are confident that you yourself are a guide to people who are blind, a light to those in
darkness, Romans 2:19
If you want to use them, the files are set up to be double sided. You can replace the Lone Tree badge with your department logo or badge which will print on the back of the word of the day or you can just print the odd number pages as a single page printing. They are eight per page, just cut to 2 ¼ or 2 ½ by 4 ¼ on a paper cutter.
At the very end of the document there are other words identified which still need to become a “Word of the Day”.
